Our client, a nationwide company providing outdoor pursuits education for Schools are seeing cooks to join their team.
Working shifts , 6:30am – 3pm & 11am – 8pm over 5 days that will also involve weekends, you will be required to cook and prepare Breakfast, Dinner and Evening meals for the guests that include children of all ages as well as adults.
Each day a free meal will be provided.
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Cook food in various utensils or grillers
Check food while cooking to stir or turn
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properl
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Proven experience as cook
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Ability to work in a team
Very good communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
Due to the location of work it is essential that the successful candidates have their own transport.
