Job Description

Overtime is paid on top of salary

Our client has earned a reputation second to none in the Industrial and Marine Services. Supporting many well known companies and government agencies.

They are based in Birkenhead and provide national support for many services. They are looking for an experienced Electrical Pump Engineer to join their team. The role will involve team work however you will be required to work independently on various projects both locally and nationally.

Pay Information

Standard hours 40 hours a week @ £32,000 pa
You are paid for travel to and from sites that are not local
You will get £25 allowance per night when working away
Good paid accommodation when working away
If you work a Saturday you will accrue time and half up to 12pm then double pay after
You will be given a company laptop, phone and access to a company van.

The ideal candidate will be time served with ideally a City & Guilds, possibly from the plant hire / marine industry / REMY Forces with experience on Electrical / Mechanical Pumps/Generators.

The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the pump industry coupled with excellent analytical problem solving skills and being proactive when dealing with all types of problems whether it be on site or in the workshop.

The candidate will have a comprehensive background in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, that will be complemented with a good understanding of basic computers and being able to work in a team.

The scope of work will be from stripping pumps and overhauling them both Electrically & Mechanically, to site installation of pumps and on site problem solving.

It is essential you have 17th edition and 2391 electrical certification. It will strengthen your application if you possess 18th edition. If you do apply holding 17th addition certification you must be willing to work towards completing your 18th addition.

Ideal Qualifications

A qualified Electrician with Mechanical Experience
A time served Plant Fitter,
City & Guilds Mechanical
and any other courses gained throughout their career.
Essential Qualifications

17th Edition Electrical Installation
Electrical Test Inspection 2391
The candidate will be asked to work at our client’s workshop based on a 40 hour week.

There will be occasions where the candidate will be asked to work away from home on other projects, such as the Thames Tunnel Tideway London and other key locations, the candidate will be expected to work overtime. You will be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses + overtime.

The candidate will need a clean drivers licence.

The candidate will need to have a good understand of Health and Safety.

The candidate would be responsible for keeping good records of equipment and customer repairs.
