Unfortunately Silverstone did not go to plan for Chrissy. Qualifying 26th for the first race on the new bike, Chrissy quickly got to grips with fighting through the pack for 15th position during the race but unfortunately the engine let go which trounced all the hard work from Chrissy and the team.
Due to the fantastic lap times from race one Chrissy was on 15th position on the grid for the second race. The team did an amazing job taking out the blown engine
and putting in a replacement ready for the next race.
Here is the incident as it unfolded,
Here is Chrissy talking about the race.
Race 2 saw incidents at the start which knocked Chrissy down the field slightly, then Tom Sykes High sided leaving Chrissy nowhere to go. This unfortunate racing incident knocked Chrissy unconscious which ruled him out of racing in the third race.
Thankfully Chrissy is OK and apart from a few bruises and sore hip, he will be ready to fight at Oulton Park. #always next time
