THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT THIS JOB BEFORE READING JOB DESCRIPTION Pay starts with at £10.50. That pay will then increase to £11.50ph within 6 months of being made permanent. You will be contracted to 45 hours a week working two shift patterns,. Shift A: Monday to Thursday 6am - 6pm Shift B: Tuesday to Thursday 6am - 6pm and Friday 6am - 4pm This means each week you will either have a Friday or Monday off meaning a 3 day weekend. Job Description Our client is a long established manufacturer who has consistently seen growth and expansion before and during the pandemic. Due to their continued demand and prosperity they require Manufacturing Team Members to join their team. You will be required to carry out a range of production tasks within the manufacturing of pigments (dye) or any task asked of them by the supervisors / production manager that can include but not exclusive to warehouse work. Pigment manufacturing by its very nature can be a messy environment, so the use of showering facilities are available, Overalls and other PPE will be provided. General duties include, but not limited to; Pack iron oxide pigments into various bag types and sizes Operate machinery Ensure finished products meet the company quality standards Ensuring all packaging and labeling items are correct in line with packing specifications Ensure production/factory areas are clean and free from obstacles/dust Support the team during busy periods, being flexible and adaptable with working hours when required Experience of working in a factory / production environment would be advantageous but is not essential. A fork lift truck licence would be an advantage but is not essential The pay starts at £10.50 but from week one you will be evaluated and assessed on a weekly basis and your pay will be reviewed. After going permanent your pay will increase to £11.50 within 6 months of being permanent.
