Our client is a leading supplier and manufacturer of abrasive blasting equipment, medias, and other surface preparation and finishing equipment, based in Holywell. They are renowned for their excellence and innovation in the industry.


The roles offer an interesting and varied role with the main duties including:

  • Attending customer sites to service and repair a range of blasting equipment.

  • Provide detailed and accurate reports on the condition of the customers’ equipment, following onsite machine examinations.

  • To investigate / identify machine problems in an emergency breakdown situation

  • Identify situations whilst on site, where productivity or efficiency improvements to equipment can be recommended to the customer.

  • Welding beneficial but not essential


Essential Requirements:

  • Driving License: A full and valid driving license is mandatory.

  • Initiative: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal/external staff.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends, unsociable hours, and overnight stays.

  • Average working week 45 to 55 hrs, occasionally up to 70hrs - working overtime will allow you to achieve the higher salary.


Skill Set:

  • Mechanical Engineering: Proficiency in mechanical engineering.

  • Electrical Knowledge: Basic electrical knowledge.

  • On Site Skills: Competence in fitting, welding, and basic fabrication for renewal and repair tasks.


The Below Training Provided If Required:

  • Confined Space: 3 day course.

  • Mobile Access: 1 day course.

  • Forklift GHR TITTB Novice: 3 day course.

  • Welding: 1 day course.


Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week, 8am to 4:30pm.


IMPORTANT - AN INITIAL TRAINING PERIOD OF APPROXIMATELY 8 WEEKS WILL BE REQUIRED ON OUR CLIENT'S SITE BEFORE YOU ARE SENT OUT TO SITES ACROSS THE UK


Salary: Starting from £31,200 per annum / £15 per hour - Salary is negotiable following an interview, dependant on experience.


THE RATE OF PAY FOR THE INITIAL 8-12 WEEK TRAINING PERIOD - £12.30 PER HOUR


Please Note: After this initial training period your pay will increase to the advertised rate of £15 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities to earn considerably more when out across the UK due to the travelling/expenses and opportunities for overtime.


  • Overtime: Out of hours work and travel paid at time and 1/3rd. Saturday work paid at time and 1/3rd. No work on Sundays.


  • Holidays: 22 days holiday plus paid bank holidays (when taken on permanently)


  • Expenses: Coverage for hotels, breakfast, lunch, and evening meal allowances based on arrival home time, standardized for overnight stays.


  • Company Vehicle: Van for company use with a fuel card.


  • Tools and PPE: All necessary tools and personal protective equipment provided.

  • Certification Courses: All required certification courses for safe working, such as FLT/IPAF/Confined Space, are provided.
