Job Description
Our client is one of the UK's leading independent crane companies. Specialising in both onshore & offshore sectors, they are trusted to supply some of the leading companies nationwide including Airbus, JCB & Land Rover.
Our client is currently looking to recruit a competent and talented Shift Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities of the role:
To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with safe systems of work
Work at height in a safe manner in accordance with all H & S procedures and legislative requirements
Carry out pre-use and after use checks of all access equipment
Act as banksman
Act as rescue in the event of access equipment failure
To attend breakdown activities immediately
To enforce OHAS as directed by the OHAS Manager
To carry out tool box checks
To support trainees
To ensure critical stock items are identified
To report on obsolescence
To attend the SQCDP meeting daily
Implementing cost effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability
Discussing and solving complex problems
Assist projects team when required.
Construct shift relevant paperwork
Work in accordance with AIRBUS safety procedures
Fitting new parts
Overhauling and replacing parts according to schedule
This role is required to actively support and adhere to the Company QSHE Policy.
Ensure compliance to Company business manual and Company procedures.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Maintenance
PEL level 2 Engineering
BTEC level 3 Engineering
Or equivalencies
Minimum Previous Experience:
In accordance with responsibilities
Minimum Additional Training:
Work at height training
IPAF
EMSS Safety Passport
Asbestos Awareness
Crane Driving Course
AIRBUS Induction
Manual Handling
First Aid in the workplace
Banksman – on the job training
