Loading Shovel Driver

Job Description: We are currently recruiting for 2 x Loading Shovel Drivers for an immediate start, with the opportunity for permanent employment after 13 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe and efficient operation of loading shovels

• Loading HGV wagons (a significant part of daily duties)

• General plant maintenance and housekeeping

• Supporting shredder operations

• Weekend availability required (approximately 2 weekends per month)

  
  

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:30 (1-hour unpaid lunch)

• Weekend work required on a rota basis

  
  

Pay Rates:

• Weekdays: £14.24 per hour

• Weekends: £16 per hour (subject to increase if taken on permanently):

• Saturday: 1.5x base rate

• Sunday: 2x base rate

  
  

Candidate Requirements:

• Valid loading shovel licence and experience (Essential)

• Experience loading HGV wagons is highly desirable

• Willingness to undertake additional site duties

• Flexible and reliable, with a proactive attitude

  
  

Contract Type:

• Temporary with the view to becoming permanent after 13 weeks
