Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced On-Site Engineer to join our client’s team. This role involves traveling to various client sites across the region to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and engineering support services. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering and a solid background in providing on-site support, ensuring that all systems are operational and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel to client sites across Chester, Deeside, The Wirral, and the North West UK to provide on-site engineering support.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
Carry out factory shutdowns and start-ups to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with industrial machinery and systems in a timely manner.
Conduct routine inspections and servicing of equipment to maintain peak efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including service reports, maintenance logs, and parts used.
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations on all job sites.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their maintenance needs.
Work collaboratively with the engineering team to deliver high-quality service and solutions to clients.
Skills & Experience Required:
NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering (or equivalent).
Proven experience as an On-Site Engineer, with a focus on on-site maintenance and repairs.
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Experience in carrying out factory shutdowns, start-ups, and preventative maintenance programs.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
Strong understanding of health and safety practices in an industrial environment.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to various client sites.
Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
